A slipping transmission is not automatically a rebuild. Fluid condition, solenoid function, adaptive learning, a failing torque converter or an engine-side torque problem all produce similar complaints. We test before we quote.
When a rebuild is genuinely needed we quote it against a remanufactured unit so you can compare cost, downtime and warranty.

Questions
Straight answers
How often should I service a tow-rig transmission?
Far more often than the severe-duty schedule suggests. Heat is what kills them, and towing makes heat.
Is a shudder always the torque converter?
No. Fluid degradation and lockup strategy cause shudder too, and a fluid service sometimes fixes it outright.
Do you upgrade transmissions for added power?
Yes — see performance tuning. Holding capacity should match the fueling you add.
